These rounds are precious and important moments that ensure continuity of care for the most vulnerable people living on the streets. Because permanently rescuing someone from life on the streets is no mean feat. It takes a lot of patience and perseverance to establish a relationship of trust and thus plant a seed that, thanks to taking care of oneself, will eventually lead to long-term resettlement. Increasingly, our teams succeed in this within the year.

With the necessary efforts and creative ingenuity, we at Streetnurses manage to limit the cost of one round of a reconnaissance duo to 250 euros. This pays for both healthcare equipment and staff costs. In 2023, the counter of reconnaissance rounds in Brussels and Liège stood at 579. A nice average of 11 rounds per week. This year, we do not want to fall short of this. Our street presence remains much needed if we want to guarantee quality support.
That is why this year we are asking for your help! With 50,000 euros, we can finance 200 reconnaissance rounds in Brussels and Liège. An essential step in our mission to put an end to homelessness.
